Yes, summer is really here. The sun is shining and the skies are blue (for the most time).
Elida V has been growing and growing and she is a really beautiful ship now that most of the rigging is done and almost all railings are finished. Her colors is a blend of white, blue and mirror-polished stainless steel.
The final installations are underway, and Robert is working with the radio antennas.
Yum yum.
Some rigging details. Note the red light in the top of the main mast (seen on the third picture). This light is apparently required to be turned on while we are in harbour, this to alert airplanes!
I also bought a car!
Misc. photos of ongoing work. Lot of brain and muscle activity.
Currently there are no camps on board, instead we have working days to finish the ship as much as we can before new camps come on board. Getting the firefighting systems and the main engine working were big steps that we now have finished.
That’s all for now. I am now officially on my last week on Elida for this year. I have been working here since August, but the summer work and the studying needs to take over in my life. I am leaving on Sunday!
