Two months on Elida

Today, on the 1st of November, we the crew on Elida woke up to find that there had been snowfall during the night. The temperature was just below zero degrees Celsius, so we had to start the day by salting the deck and shoveling off snow and ice. As I and Karl-Johan worked on the mainsheet traveler today, it meant a cold day in the chilly wind.

Almost all cabins are painted now, except for the crew cabin. This finishes one big part of the construction, although there are substantial things left to do. Electricity and plumbing is not yet done, and we have not yet installed any navigational instruments. The steering hydrualics are almost finished, as well as the sprinkler systems.

Wishlist: Somebody make a version of the Python Curses module with wide-character support.
