Project Voxel – Idea forming

Yes, we had another meeting with George where we started to design the system. Adam has found a manufacturer for large LED arrays, and although the delivery time is 6-8 weeks it is exactly what we are looking for.

As a control system we will probably use some kind of Atmel AVR chip, it seems to fit the bill perfectly.

Project Voxel – Meeting with George

We finally met our manager George in the voxel project today. We outlined how the project will be continued, and we will take small, incremental steps towards a display.

He also taught us how to calculate with matrixes, really interesting stuff indeed. The meeting lasted for two hours, and we will work on the LED solution, somehow.

Project Voxel – Meeting with George

Finally we met George today. We briefed him about our progress and decided what to continue with. He learned us about matrices in mathematics, an essential skill when working in three dimensions.

We are going to work with some sort-of LED solution, but we will make incremental step, not continuing before we have working prototypes of every part. That would mean that even if the project was terminated prematurely, ABB would have something to go with.

Project Voxel – Communication Trouble

We finished writing our PM, as a result of having too much time beacuse we couldn’t get in touch with George. He was supposed to come home from his business trip today, but despite our efforts in contacting him, we have not succeeded.
